Sawtooth Grain Beetles

Pest Identification

This beetle lays eggs in grain products.  The larvae eat the grain as it is broken down into germ form.  It will then pupate then emerge as a beetle about 2-3 mm in size.  The life cycle will take anywhere from 20-80 days depending on the room temperature.

Our Method of Success

The solution is to find the source that is infested.  It may not be just one item, most times it will be multiple items by the time you notice them.  Once removed, a crack and crevice treatment is required in the area of the infested food.
